On Design of English and American Literature Syllabus for Multiple Purposes

文章指出了英语教育专业学生英美文学课程教学存在的问题,分析了学生对该门课程的需求,以此为基础对该课程的教学方法、学习方法和课程选材等方面的内容提出建议,提出了以学生为中心发展学生创新思维、促进学生人格发展,以语言为基础把语言学习与文学学习结合起来加强学生语言技能的发展,增强学生对英美国家文化的认识和以主题为编排教材内容的原则等多维度英美文学课程设置的新思路。

The present article points out problems existing in the teaching of the course of English and American Literature for English majors. A syllabus for multi-purpose has been designed on the basis of student needs analysis, in which various points have been put forward such as to develop students＇ creative thinking and personality, to combine language study with the study of literature for the purpose of improvement of language skills and deepening students＇ understanding of western cultures, and to regard topics as the organizing principles of course materials, etc.
