选择无风的晴天,以2 km/h的速度行进,记录两侧所观察到的鸟类物种和数量。于2006年冬季在南洞庭湖发现鸟类61种,隶属12目27科,其中国家二级保护动物8种,湖南省地方保护鸟类36种,中—日保护的候鸟29种,中-澳保护的候鸟6种。该地的冬候鸟35种,留鸟26种。东洋界鸟类12种,古北界鸟类32种,广布性鸟类17种。南洞庭湖冬季鸟类的多样性指数为2.267 8,均匀度系数为0.551 6。

Proceed at the speed of 2 km/h in sunny and mild weather, recording all the birds and their individual observed. There are 61 species of winter birds in the south Dongting Lake. They belong to 11 orders, 27 families; 8 of them are national second-class protected birds and 36 are provincial protected birds. 29 species are China-Japan protectd migrant birds, six species are China-Australia protected migrant birds. 35 species are winter migrant birds and 26 species resident birds; 12 species are oriental birds, 32 species are palearctic birds and 17 species are widespread. The birds＇ diversity index in the region is 2. 267 8 and evenness index is 0. 551 6.
