英汉思维差异及其对大学英文写作的启示

Thinking Differences in Chinese and English Text Structure and College English Writing

英语民族思维的主要特征是直线性思维,而汉语民族思维的主要特征是曲线性思维。英汉民族思维方式的差异决定了英汉篇章结构的不同。文章着重分析英语篇章的三种模式和汉语篇章的曲折性特征,以及英汉篇章结构的差异对中国学生在英文写作上的影响。

The linear pattern is one of the features of the English speakers＇ thinking,while the circular pattern is characteristic of the Chinese speakers＇ thinking.Consequently, thinking differences may lead to the differences in text structure. This paper is going to focus on the three models in the English text structure, the circular model in the Chinese text structure and the negative influence on Chinese college students＇ writing.
