2008年7月17日国家统计局发布的数据显示，2008年上半年我国国内生产总值（GDP）同比增长10.4％，居民消费价格（CPI）总水平同比上涨7.9％。

In the first half of 2008, our national economy maintained a stable growth in general. In the first half, China＇s GDP reached ￥ 13 061.9 billion, and calculated at comparable prices, it increased by 10.4%, and down by 1.8 percentage points compared with the same period in 2007.
