“革命之子”的电影实验——第五代电影人的身份政治及现代意识

Experiments of "Children of the Revolution" in Movies——Identity Politics and Modern Consciousness of the Fifth Generation Directors

通过对第五代电影人的发轫之作《一个和八个》以及《黄土地》的分析,认为"第五代"的电影实验不但体现了一代电影人的现代意识,也是他们作为"革命之子"的言志之作。"第五代"是文革中长成的一代,是"父"的"红卫兵"和为"父"放逐的"俄狄浦斯"———"知识青年",他们注定要在对父的怨恨、背叛与皈依中获得父的精神传承,并通过极端个人化的影像完成集体性的身份表达。虽然以意象造型为核心的影像本体论的形成是中国电影现代转型的重要标志之一,但是第五代电影依旧保留着革命时代的文化基因,是介于革命与后革命之间的褐色浪漫主义电影。

Through the analysis of One and Eight and Yellow Earth, the early works of the fifth generation directors, the paper holds that the experiments of the fifth generation in movies not only embody the modern consciousness of the moviemakers of this generation, but also serve as the works to express their aspirations as the ＂Children of the Revolution＂. The fifth generation directors, a generation grown up in the period of the Cultural Revolution, are the red guards of their ＂fathers＂ and the knowledge youths just like ＂Oedipus＂ exiled for their ＂fathers＂;therefore, they are destined to obtain the spiritual inheritance of their fathers with the resentment, rebellion and conversion to their fathers and achieve collective expression of identity through extremely individualized image. Although the formation of image ontology taking image modeling as the core is one of the significant symbols of the modern transformation of Chinese films, the fifth-generation movies still retain the cultural genes of revolution age just as the brown romantic movies intervened between revolution and post revolution.
