浅析新闻英语中的语篇衔接手段

The Cohesive Devices in Journalistic English

对英语报刊中常见的消息、特写和评论这三种新闻体裁的衔接手段进行比较性分析,发现三者的语篇衔接手段在使用中各有所重,消息主要使用词汇复现和时间、地点关联,特写中使用的衔接手段则更加多样化,照应、词汇复现、连接词以及时间、地点关联都占有一定比例,而新闻评论中连接词,即逻辑联系语的使用比例要高于消息和特写。

journalistic English, news, features and commentaries ＆ columns are three common forms of writing. This article makes a contrast among the three forms of writing and finds that they use different cohesive devices. In news, reiteration and time＆ place relators are mainly used; in features, more diverse cohesive devices are employed, such as reference, reiteration, conjunctions and time ＆ place relators; in commentaries ＆ columns, more conjunctions are used than in news and features.
