Damage Analysis of Wenchuan Earthquake and Suggested Seismic Fortification Measures

介绍了四川汶川强烈地震发生后主要地震影响地区的灾情。分析了房屋震害的原因主要有三个方面:实际发生的地震超过抗震设防烈度;部分建筑未按国家标准设计与建造或原来的抗震设防标准比较低。建议灾后应进一步完善国家地震区划图和建设标准规范,适当提高抗震设防标准,做好地震区震害调查和重建的整体规划,将村镇建筑纳入国家规范体系。

The disaster situation in major earthquake-affeeted area after the Wenehuan strong earthquake in Sichuan is introduced. The major causes that induce building damage are found and presented：i） actual seismic intensity exceeds the seismic fortification intensity ; ii） buildings were not designed or constructed under the guidance of national standards or the original seismic fortification criterion is not adequate; and iii） unqualified design or construction. It is suggested that i） the national seismic zoning map and construction standards should be further improved; ii） seismic fortification criterion should have sufficient adequacy; iii） disaster investigation in the earthquake area and global planning for reconstruction should be well implemented; and iv） the building design and construction in country area should be subject to national standards system.
