摘要
采用数值模拟的方法研究电磁场作用下结晶器内流场及钢号更换时的浓度场分布.与不加电磁制动情况的比较发现,当采用条型电磁铁作用时,结晶器内流场下部回流区消失,出现了接近活塞流的特征,即降低了流动的返混程度,因而能够缩短钢号更换时连铸坯的过渡段.
Minimization of transition slabs in continuous casting operations is critical for optimum quality and productivity. The flow field and concentration field during changes of steel grade in the mold have been modeled. It is found that the discharged flow from nozzle outlet impinges on the narrow face and then forms upper and lower vortices in the mold,while the lower vortice is suppressed by the electromagnetic field,some characteristics of plug like flow occurs,and the intermixing for two different grades of steel is suppressed so that the length of transition slabs can shorted.
