Six N aryl substituted benzylamines have been synthesized through the nucleophilic substitution of four benzotriazoly N Mannich base (N o methylphenyl 1 benzotriazolylbenzylamine, N p methylphenyl 1 benzotriazoly 1 benzylamine, N m nitrophenyl 1 benzotriazolylbenzylamine, N p nitrophenyl 1 benzotriazolylbenzylamine) respectively with Grignard reagent (n C 4H 9MgBr or PhMgBr) in satisfactory yield. The structures of these new compounds have been IR, 1 HNMR and elemental analysis.
