第四次中美战略经济对话取得了双赢的效果。这归结于三个重要原因:首先是在对话过程中,双方都不过分强调自身利益。在资本市场开放、汇率、能源等问题上,双方都没有纠缠对方的弱点,而是致力于寻找共同的利益点,寻求相应的合作。第二,增加换位思考的"比例",双方都能以平和的心态认真考虑对方提出的建议,并迅速有效地化为行动。中国对能源价格的调整、美国承诺加强对投机交易的监管和对弱势美元问题的关切都证明了这一点。第三,合作和互补成为双赢的客观基础。中美两国经济的相互渗透关系越来越强,双方在合作中创造出更有活力的激励机制,不仅有利于保持国际金融市场和能源市场的稳定,而且有利于为世界经济开创一个更稳定的、可持续的发展模式。

The Fourth China-U.S. Strategic Economic Dialogue concluded advantageously for both sides, an outcome attributed to three important reasons. First, both parties refrained from overemphasizing their own interests. With regard to capital market opening, exchange rate and energy, both sides persisted in seeking common interests and cooperation rather than getting bogged down in the shortcomings of the other. Secondly, there was a higher 'proportion' of thinking from the other party’s perspective. Each party listened thoughtfully to the other’s views, translating them quickly and effectively into actions. This is borne out by China’s adjustments to energy pricing and the U.S. commitment to step up oversight of speculative transactions and to focus on the issue of the weak U.S. dollar. Third, objectively speaking, the outcome of the dialogue was founded on cooperation and balance. The economies of China and the U.S. are increasingly intertwined, so cooperating to create more powerful mechanisms for economic stimulation will do more than stabilize the international financial and energy markets; it will also contribute to a more stable and sustainable development mode for the global economy.
