How to Solve the Difficulty of Graduate Employment──Comparation of Thoughts and Countermeasures Between Huang Yan-pei and Hu Shi

通过对黄炎培与胡适关于民国1912-1937年间学校毕业生的就业困难的主要对策之间矛盾的分析,认为问题的解决应聚焦在教育制度和社会文化的改良与互动上。在制度与文化的较量和适应中,寻求它们的协调与结合是一个棘手的问题,这也是近代中国许多社会问题复杂性与难解性的根源之一。

The difficulty of graduate employment in 1912-1937 has been analyzed in the view of education function by Huang Yan-pei and by Hu Shi from the view of society culture, respectively. The conflict between the above two views was analyzed in the paper, and the meliorateing and mutual action of educational system and society culture was thought of a key to settle the problem. How to find a way to hamonize and integrate the system and culture in their conflit and accommodation is not only a hot potato but also one of the causes for the complexity and abstusity of many society problems in latter-day china.
