Culture Embodied in the English and Chinese Words of Color

由于中西文化差异,英汉颜色词所承载的文化内涵不尽相同。本文拟从几个颜色词中所体现的不同的英汉文化内涵,探讨了解和熟悉文化差异对理解其他文化的重要意义,从而更好地实现语言的交际功能。

Due to the cultural differences between China and western countries, cultures embodied in the and Chinese words of color are not completely the same. Based on different cultures embodied in the several English English and Chinese words of color, and in order to have the effective intercourse between the English and Chinese language, this paper analyzes the necessity and significance of mastering cultural differences.
