This paper, starting from the Pan- gu Myth recorded by Xu Zheng, a historian in East Wu Kingdom during the Three Kingdom Period, introduces the brief history of the Pan - gu myths written by scholars from Wei Kingdom and Jing Kingdom up to South and North Dynasty, Tang Dynasty, Song Dy- nasty, Yuan Dynasty, Ming Dynasty and Qing Dynasty, as well as those popularized in South China, North China, East China, Southwest China, Central China and Taiwan. It criticizes the theories that Pan - gu was Pan - hu, that Pan- gu originated from Chaos, that China＇ s Pan- gu came from India, that Pan - gu derived from Henan and so on.
