Confucius’ Thought of a Harmonious Society

孔子主张建立一个"老者安之,朋友信之,少者怀之"的理想社会。要建立这样的社会,孔子认为,一要处理好家庭关系,二要处理好官民关系,三要处理好邻里、同事等等的关系。这些思想,在建设社会主义和谐社会的今天,仍然有着很强的借鉴意义。

Confucius advocated an ideal society where ＂the old live in peace and comfort, friends trust each other and the young are taken good care of.＂ To build such a society, he held that we should handle wisely family relations, government-people relations and relations between neighbors and between colleagues. These ideas are still of great reference value today when efforts are being made to build a harmonious socialist society.
