The self-development of English teachers is the guarantee of the realization of the specialization of English teachers. The self-development of teachers is a process during which teachers constantly keep on studying, reflecting and researching. Meanwhile, action research makes teachers the researcher and practicer, which can improve the teaching and promote the development of students and teachers. From this sense, action research can become the most important way on promoting the self-development of English teachers, and at the same time it is one of important instinct motivation for the self-development of English teachers.
