Research on Quantity and Sturcture of Staff in America Universities

高校人员结构对高校的办学效益和综合实力有着重要的影响,通过专任和非专任、专职和兼职两个划分维度研究了美国高校70年代至今人员结构的变化情况,找出其变化的特点和原因,针对我国高校员工结构的现状,提出了一定的启示。

The structure of college and university staff plays a very important role in determining the overall teaching efficiency and the comprehensive strength of colleges and universities. Based on the two classification dimensions of “professional and non-professional”, and “full- time and part-time”, this paper makes a study of the change in staff structure of American colleges and universities since 1970s, finds out the characteristics and reasons of this change, and finally gives some suggestions on the current situation of the structure of the staff in Chinese colleges and universities.
