The whole structure of remote meter reading system of residence based on LonWorks technology was given. Through one example, every functional circuit＇ s designing method of LonWorks intelligent terminal nodes were given, a detailed hardware designing project was introduced. Then. the LNS oriented to Windows was used to realize the function of system management and control, and LNS development tools was full used to design the real- time data monitoring node.
