摘要
中国学校发展史上,于19世纪中叶由教会学校发端,开始了班级授课的学校阶段。较之史上的"私学"和"书院"阶段,它的出现更能适应近、现代工业生产发展的新的历史时期。西方传授士创办和执教的教会学校,至少在客观上曾经对中国的文明、进步起了积极的作用,"西学东渐"与书院有着一定的联系和交流,最早的教会学校亦多有称做书院的。
In Chinese school development history,the school teaching was originated form church schools in the middle of the 19th century.Comparing the private school and the academy, the school teaching better adapts to the development of modern industrial production.The church schools founded taught by western missionaries at least objectively had an active influence on Chinese civilization and progress.Introduction of western learning to the east had a centain connection and communication with Chinese academies, and many of the earliest church schools were also called academies.
