The paper introduces the feature and function of a automatic monitoring and control system in oil production. According to the requirements of monitoring and control of production and safety in the oilfield, the composing module and work theory of this system are put forward. The main functions of the system are measuring and controlling different kinds of pumps of oil production, measuring the operation parameters of the equipment above and under the oil well, and analyzing the collected data by the computer.
