Cultural Pursuit of Editors of Books and Periodicals

编辑的文化追求由两层基本涵义组成:编辑通过自己所从事的出版活动不断地为社会文化的进步与发展作出贡献,这是编辑的事业追求;与此同时,编辑还要围绕事业目标的实现而努力追求自身文化个性的不断修炼与完善。编辑事业追求的实现,一是要认真作好选题规划,选准自己的出书方向;二是要严格把好选题关,确保每个选题的成功运作。编辑自身文化个性的修炼与完善,包括锤炼科学的价值观、树立全面的效益观,培养正确的创新观等内容。

Editors＇ cultural pursuit consists of two fundamental meanings. On one hand, through publishing work, editors make their contributions continuously to the development of social civilization, which is editors＇ career pursuit. On the other hand, editors pursue to perfect their own cultural qualities according to career objectives. In pursuing their career, editors not only should make good planning on selecting book topics in a clear orientation of publishing books, but also should control the quality of topic selections to ensure a successful operations of publishing books. Finally, editors improve their own cultural qualities in shaping and cultivating views toward value, benefit, innovation and so on.
