明清时期汉江中下游地区的水利建设与社会关系

The Irrigation Construction and Social Relationships along the Areas of the Middle and Lower Reaches of Hanjiang River during Ming and Qing Dynasties

明清时期,由于汉江中下游河道变迁,对沿江区域造成极大的危害。与此同时,此区域人口压力加大,促使汉江中下游水利建设迅速发展。从堤防和垸田两个方面对汉江水利建设进行介绍,并试图从水利史和区域社会史的角度,对汉江中下游水利建设中反映出的中央政府与地方政府的关系、士绅在地方自治中的作用以及商人力量的兴起等问题进行初步探讨。

During Ming and Qing dynasties, the changes of river courses of the middle and lower reaches of Hanjiang river have done great harm to the areas of the river bank. Meanwhile, the increasing population pressure along the areas prompts the rapid irrigation construction of the middle and lower reaches of Hanjiang river. The pa- per attempts to make an introduction of the irrigation construction from the perspective of dike protection and dike fields, and make a preliminary exploration of such issues as the relationships between the central government and local government reflected in irrigation construction along the middle and lower reaches of Hanjiang river, the gentleman＇s role in local self - governing and the rise of businessman＇s power from the perspective of the history of irrigation and regional society as well.
