People in Taiwan and Fujian live on rice. So, there are many non-staple food made of rice in their daily life, marriages, funeral arrangements and all kinds of festivals and holidays. The folk custom of diet of Taiwan being affinity to Fujian relatives mainly to natural enviroment and humanity enviroment. There are same folk customs between Fujian and Taiwan. That is an expression of cultural kinship and cultural identity between Fujian and Taiwan.
