Research on Foreign Direct Investment Inter-industry Spillover

有关FDI溢出效应的实证研究表明,FDI带来了负的或者不明显的溢出效应。对此,以往的研究常常忽略行业间溢出。由于竞争的关系,国外企业会尽量阻止行业内溢出的发生,但更乐意提供行业间溢出。因此,行业间溢出是比行业内溢出更重要的溢出途径。

Spillovers from FDI have been very popular these years. Policy makers also expect positive spillovers to support their policies of attracting FDI. A great number of studies have shown negative or no significant spillovers recently. One reason for sueh results is that inter- industry spillovers are neglected. Foreign finns will prevent intra - industry spillovers to their competitors, but prefer to supply technology transfer through inter-industry spillovers. There is not so mueh research on inter- industry spillover now. The author expects some help to the future study in this field through our analysis.
