PowON-PowOFF模型对区分服务QoS性能影响的研究

摘要 为了更深入地了解区分服务对网络QoS性能的影响,采用了能够真实反映网络流量特性的自相似业务模型进行分析,选取的模型是重尾ON-OFF叠加模型PowON-PowOFF;研究了自相似业务流在WFQ方案中对QoS参数的影响,并分析了该模型各参数对QoS性能的影响,为下一代网络采取相应机制克服突发业务的不利影响提供了依据。 Differentiated Service (DiffServ) provides a scalable solution to support the quality of service (QoS) in ever expanding Internet. To further investigate the effect of DiftServ on network QoS , this paper employs a self-similar PowON-PowOFF model, which is the superposition of some independent heavy-tailed ON-OFF processes and can describe the characteristics of the actual network throughput comprehensively. The paper studies the variation of QoS parameters using the WFQ scheme with the self-similar traffics. It also analyzes the relation between the QoS performance and the PowON-PowOFF model parameters. The results can be applied to the next generation network to overcome the adverse impacts of the burst traffic.
