This text has introduced some measures which are used for the decreasing vibration of cables currently, and the effects of cable forces after fixing the shock absorbers at the ends of the cable. Based on the conservation of energy theorem, a caculation formula for the force of cables with shock absorber is deduced, provides the wide research space for the shock absorption of the stay cable.
