释《诗经》“颂”

Intepretation of Odes in the Book of Songs

学术界对《诗经》中"颂"之含义阐释分歧甚大。文章从传世文献、考古成果、训诂考据、文化人类学、文化宗教学等角度,结合前人的研究成果,探索"颂"的起源及其最原始的意义,认为"颂"可拆分为公"字和"页",西周之前"颂"字的意义正是包含在"公"字之中,其起源于巫术思维下的一种上古人类生产(生活资料和人类自身)的集体祭典,本义是一种生殖崇拜的祭仪。

The intepretation of Odes in the Book of Songs is controversial in the academic field. This paper probes into the origin and the initial meaning of odes from the perspectives of classic literature, archaeologic findings, exegesis studies, cultural anthropology and cultural religion. Explanations are made according to the structure of the Chinese character and the ceremonial backdrop of the origin of the word.
