摘要
认知语言学认为隐喻是人类用来组织其概念系统不可缺少的认知工具。本文以"over"一词为例就隐喻的运行机制及其在英语一词多义性中的应用进行阐述,讨论了认知语言学中隐喻理论对英语词汇教学的指导作用。
Cognitive linguistics regards metaphor as a necessary method in organizing the conceptual system. Taking "over " as an example, this paper explains the application of metaphorical mechanism in English polysemy, and the contribution of cognitive metaphorical theory on English vocabulary teaching.
