In the long run of the history, the Chinese nation has constructed a set of mature system of moral values and norms, with respect to the ethics of individual, family, the country and the universe, and has formed the school-centered institutions of moral education and a whole set of complete theories of moral education. It is the quintessence of the Chinese traditional moral education, that includes a total approach with both ability and integrity and with morality governing intelligence, the life pursuit of accomplishing oneself and aware of the others with neutralization and consistency, the implementation strategies that make reasoning contained into events and change folks into conventions, the cultivating ways of practicing personally what one preaches and of self-discipline and self-retrospection. Only when we inherit critically and transform creatively the Chinese traditional moral education, can we transcend the tradition and adapt to the modern time and blaze new traits for Chinese moral education in the future.
