Tolylene diisocyanate （TDI） is a basic raw material of producing polyurethane, and belongs to the hightechnology barrier industry. In recent years, with the fast development of Chinese economy, Chinese cyanic acid ester and ammonia ester market has being developing most rapidly and being the most potential one in the world, thus elevates the significant growth of TDI need. The synthesis technique, current production situation and application fields etc. were introduced breifly in this paper. Then the requirement to the recent TDI market was analyzed and the development suggestions to the relative enterprise at home were put forward.
