文化意象翻译中亏损现象补偿的关联论视角

Relevance Theory Reflected in the Rendering of Cultural Image

从关联翻译理论的视角,本文探讨了译者在翻译文化意象时对可能出现的亏损现象进行补偿的七种语用翻译策略:直接翻译、直接翻译加脚注、直接翻译加修饰语、直接翻译增加隐含意义、音译、直接翻译间接翻译合用、转换文化意象等。本文认为,在翻译的跨文化交际中,在确保原文文化意象不会亏损的前提下,译者应尽可能地使译文释义性相似作者的信息意图和交际意图,使其与译文读者的审美期盼相吻合。只有这样,译者才能真正肩负起传达原语文化的神圣使命。

This paper analyses from the perspective of Relevance Theory in the rendering of Cultural Images. Seven pragmatic strategies are listed as indirect translation, footnotes, modifiers, interpretation, transliteration, replacement, and direct translation together with indirect translation. In order to expose the original culture into the target cognitive environment, cross-cultural translation is expected to interpret the meaning based on original cultural image while trying to meet the aesthetic expectation of target audience.
