The concept of "transition" is widely used in the field of special education. It supports individualized developmental planning and emphasizes continuity of transitional stages of students' life; it also advocates the social ecological model for individual to adapt to society. This theory leads us to rethink the goal and essence of rehabilitation for hearing-impaired children.
