摘要
Turtle系统是一个基于局域网络的无服务器分布式文件系统。该系统的设计目标是利用局域网络中的空闲磁盘空间为用户提供存储服务同时又尽量不影响机器的正常使用。系统通过数据分块和副本冗余控制的方式来提高系统的磁盘空间利用率和可靠性。测试表明,Turtle系统具有很高的可靠性。
Turtle is a serverless distributed file system designed to provide storage service utilizing idle disk space on an existing set of desktop PCs. The purpose of this system is to provide an high reliability storage service. We used data partition and redundant replica technology to improve the reliability and the disk space utilization ratios. Preliminary results indicate that Turtle has an high reliability.
