摘要
随着芯片设计的飞速发展,功能验证已经成为整个设计过程中的主要瓶颈。介绍一种高效高质量的功能验证方法--受限随机矢量生成的功能验证方法。研究该方法在设计模块功能验证中的具体应用,并以WCDMA基带下行HSDPA协处理器的功能验证为例,给出基于E语言的具体验证环境和验证步骤。验证结果表明,该方法极大地提高了验证的效率和质量。
As the ASIC design scale increases, functional verification is becoming one of the most important phase of the design phase to ensure that the product is bug free. This paper presents an efficient functional verification methodology based on generation of constraint-random testbench, We use the verification platform based on E language to verify the functional validity of the design for HSDPA coprocessor in WCDMA baseband. We emphasize the procedures of setting up a verification environment. And as a resuit, the quality and efficiency of functional verification have been improved remarkably
