Polysemy in Terms of the Subject of Annals about the States of Wu and Yue

《吴越春秋》是东汉赵晔所作的一部比较有特色的史传作品。建国后,特别是20世纪80年代以来,《吴越春秋》的研究从作者、版本流传等问题拓展到了文体、文学成就、史学和文化学价值等方面。在新的历史条件下,有必要对《吴越春秋》进行重新审视。笔者认为它至少应包括对历史进行反思、宣扬复仇主义、崇尚侠义精神和突出江南情怀等四个主题。

Annals about the States of Wu and Yue is a quite unique piece of historiographic work written by Zhao Ye of the Eastern Han Dynasty. Since the founding of the People＇s Republic, especially since 1980s, the researchers of Annals about the States of Wu and Yue have greatly expanded the fields of study, involving its authorship, edition, style and historiographic and cultural value. This paper re-examines its subjects under the new historical conditions.
