Companies can gain maximum return on investment and achieve fast growth by employing a light structure of assets. However, when companies are addicted to the pleasure of rapid expansion, and also driven by the investors’ expectation on rapid expansion, they may lose their directions and center of gravity. Only those which keep their minds on the value of customers and the core competency of light assets, and understand to protect strategic assets, can really get the balance between 'weight' and 'lightness', and avoid being dead in over-expansion.
