青藏铁路建设的历史考察

A Historical Investigation of the Construction of Qinghai-Tibet Railway

建设青藏铁路是中华民族的百年宏愿,凝聚着共和国几代领导人和铁路建设者的心血和汗水,实现了西藏各族人民追求美好幸福生活的千年期盼。但青藏铁路的建设却走过了一段非常不平凡的历程,其间经历了1956～1961年第一次"上下马",由于战备需要1965年又考虑开工修建,两年徘徊时期再度下马,直至1994年第三次上马并于2006年建成通车。建成后的青藏铁路是藏族同胞与全国各族人民的连心路,是雪域高原迈向现代化的腾飞路,也是勤劳智慧的中国人民不断创造非凡业绩的奋斗路。

The construction of Qinghai-Tibet railway was a lofty ideal of the Chinese nation in the past hundred years and embodies the painstaking care and sweat of several generations of the leadership of the Republic and the vast numbers of railway builders.The completion of this railway fulfilled the dreams of the people of various nationalities for a better life.However,the construction went through a quite unusual course:in the years of 1956 to 1961,the project started and then stopped;in 1965,due to the need of war preparations,the project was again put on the agenda but stopped once more after two years of hesitation;the construction started for the third time in 1994 and was successfully completed and open to traffic in 2006.The Qinghai-Tibet Railway greatly fa- cilitates the contacts between the Tibetan people and the people of other nationalities,promotes the modernization of the region and witnesses the creative spirit of the industrious and intelligent Chi- nese people.
