1978年12月召开的十一届三中全会,开启了改革开放历史新时期。30年的改革开放,经历了三个阶段的基本历程,使中国社会发生了历史性的巨变。要通过回顾总结改革开放30年的基本历程和取得的辉煌成就,转化为进一步推进改革开放的强大动力,把中国特色社会主义事业不断推向前进。

The Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh National Congress of CPC convened in December, 1978 has started a new historical period of reform and opening-up. 30 years of reform and opening-up has gone through three basic stages, bringing about great historical change to the Chinese society. It is essential for us to recall and summarize the basic course of this historical period and its remarkable achievements, thus transforming these achievements into the powful force pushing the reform and opening-up further,in a bid to push forward the cause of building socialism with Chinese characteristics.
