中国电影产业发展既是在历史的文化继承空间中成长、壮大的,也是在各种现实矛盾和问题应对、处置中逐渐明了、坚定和坚守自身权力、责任、使命和目标的。因此,不管是回到历史深处还是面向当下产业发展的现实问题,目标都在于突出我们已经获取的产业经验、形成的产业文化,考察其中有效并潜在地左右中国电影产业发展的各种文化要素,去除枝蔓、突出重点,把理性的思考聚焦到产业发展焦点问题的全面辨析上来。而这个焦点就是产业文化传统及其继承。

Chinese film industry develops and expands in the cultural inherited space of history, and gradually gains the awareness of its own powers, duties, missions and objectives in various practical aspects. Therefore, whether retrospecting to the depths of history or facing the practical problem, the aims are： giving prominence to the industry experience that has been got and the formed industry culture; observing the various cultural elements that have been influencing the development of Chinese film industry potentially and effectively; and focusing the rational reflection on the full discrimination of the industrial development by removing the nonessential while emphasizing the keystone, which keystone is exactly the tradition of industry culture and ways to inherit it.
