Text analysis is a comparatively new field, it has produced new insights into language teaching including listening comprehension. Some theories in text analysis such as cohesion and coherence are critically important in enhancing students＇ listening comprehension ability and improving their communicative Competence. This article attempts to illustrate that text analysis is an effective way to improve students＇ listening comprehension.
