Word radiation refers to the expansion of the meanings of the word and analysis of their meanings from its textual, logic and structural perspectives. Focusing on vocabulary to which most students attach great importance, the paper applies the word radiation into the teaching of text reading, which will help students understand the meaning and the structure of the text better, and improve their ability to master the useful information in it.
