略论南宋的历史地位

Brief Account of Historical Position of Southern Song Dynasty

南宋立国153年,以往人们对它的历史地位评价颇低。实际上,这种评价缺乏对南宋国内外环境的总体认识,忽视了南宋在政治经济、思想文化、科学技术等方面所取得的巨大成就,忽视了南宋人民在抗击金和蒙元的战争中所表现出来的崇高民族气节和不屈的斗争精神,更忽视了南宋在传承中华文明中中所作出的巨大贡献。总之,绝不能贬低南宋在中国历史上的地位。

Southern Song Dynasty last 153 years.Its historical position has been set quite low as it is considered a weak country whose government indulged in comfort and had not ambitions.For this reason,people pay little attention to the country and its history.In reality,this opinion lacks an overall knowledge of the domestic and foreign situation of Southern Song Dynasty.It lacks a full understanding of the country,ignoring its achievement in the fields of political,economic,cultural and scientific technology,ignoring people’s patriotic morality and fighting spirit shown in the war with Jin Dynasty and Mongolia Yuan Dynasty,ignoring the great achievement it made in spreading and inheriting Chinese civilization.The Southern Song dynasty would have existed longer if the country was not invaded by an unprecedentedly powerful Mongolia Yuan army.In general,the historical position of Southern Song Dynasty shall be reset.Its influence on next generations and today exceeds more than any other dynasties in history.
