At the beginning of the new century , more and more scholars hold the affirmative attitude towards Lin Shu＇ s patriotic spirit and his political enthusiasm, particular his contribution to Chinese modern literature career. They praise him for his nearly perfect character sincerely. First, this article stales that the translator＇ s background and experience can affect the translation gready, then it makes a brief account of Lin Shu＇ s life and also refers to the problems meeting with when scholars talk about Lin Shu＇ s translation. Second, the article talks aboul the force of Lin Shu＇ s translation. In the end, it states the assessment about Lin Shu.
