基于目的论对晚清域外小说译介的反思

Analysis of Fiction-translating Activity in the Late-Qing Dynasty on the Basis of Skopos Theory

目的论认为翻译是一种有目的的行为活动,译者的翻译目的直接影响到翻译文本的选材及翻译策略的运用,确立翻译目的又受制于目的语文化语境的制约。从这一理论视角出发,考察晚清的小说翻译高潮,可以摆脱原著中心论的束缚,为评价晚清外国小说的译介提供一条新的途径。

According to skopos theory, translating is a purposeful activity. Translating purpose determines the choice of source-text and the application of translating strategy. At the same time, translating purpose is subject to the cultural context in target language. To analyze the fiction translating activity in late-Qing dynasty from this perspective, the bondage of source-text orientation can be got rid of, a new channel to evaluate fiction-translation of late-Qing dynasty can be provided.
