摘要
隐喻作为认知的一种方式,是词汇产生一词多义及新义的源泉。将隐喻研究的成果运用于教学,特别是词汇教学领域,具有十分重要的探讨价值。论文通过分析当前大学英语词汇教学中存在的问题,将隐喻理论引入英语词汇教学;同时从隐喻与文化,隐喻与多义词,隐喻与语境的关系出发,探讨隐喻发生机制在词汇教学中的应用。在此基础上强调借助隐喻联想培养学生词汇学习中的文化隐喻意识,从而达到减轻学生记忆负担,使词汇教学生动活泼的目的。
Metaphor serves not only as an important way to perceive the world, but also a source of diversity of word meanings. Therefore, how to introduce the fruits yielded into teaching, especially into the field of vocabulary teaching, is of great academic value. Based on discussing frequently-used traditional vocabulary teaching methods and analyzing the relations between metaphor and culture, polysemy as well as context, the question of applying metaphor theory to vocabulary teaching is studied for the purpose to cultivate students' cultural metaphorical awareness, lessen students' burden in vocabulary learning as well as enliven teaching by means of metaphorical association.
