论述了近年来由合成气催化合成甲酸甲酯的有关催化剂及催化反应机理研究情况，并与其他合成工艺进行了比较。

Development in study of catalytic one step synthesis of methyl formamide (MF)from syngas in recent years is presented with emphasis on the catalysts and reaction mechanism concerned. Furthermore, the process is compared with other methods for MF synthesis.
