The melting point temperature and melting heat of hydrocortisone were measured. The solubilities of hydrocortisone in two phases were used to predict the distribution coefficients of hydrocortisone in chloroform water system according to binary 2 suffix Margules equation over the temperature range of 288 ̄303K. The results were compared with the experimental data and it is shown that precision of prediction is good. Moreover, relation between the ratio of hydrocortisone solubilities in two phases and distribution coefficient of hydrocortisone was discussed.
