Fuzziness, which frequently appears in diplomatic language, is one of the important features of languages. Under specific language contexts and circumstances, violation of or compliance with cooperation principle, politeness principle as well as the flexible use of hedges contribute to the occurrence of fuzziness in diplomatic language.
