汉赋的铺采摛文、夸张声貌在汉初已达炉火纯青、登峰造极之势,后来赋作无法逾越,只能因循模仿,落于前作的窠臼之中。因此,赋的文辞内容逐渐开始转向,走出了铺采摛文、极力夸张声貌的模式而归乎于一种平静淡雅的风格。东晋陶渊明《归去来兮辞》语言简省古朴,思想净洁笃真,是绚烂之极而归乎于"平淡"的赋作。
