英国电网公司的运行机制在国际上引起人们广泛的兴趣。本文介绍了英国电网公司的情况和他们采用的提前一天报价作法所产生的效果。自1990年3月末英国电力工业私有化以来，英格兰和威尔士已实现了商业化运行。这是一个竞争的电力市场，采用提前一天结算的作法。电网公司对每半小时的结算周期以某种价格（称为电网购电价格）从发电厂买电。电网购电价格由支付电量和支付容量两部分组成。英国现行的体制能否适用于其它国家是一个复杂的问题，要依情况而定。
There is an incrasing international interest in the mechonisms of the UK Power Pool. This poper introduce the basic major de of the Pool and the day-ahead bidding. The Power Pool has beea impleeded in England and Wale since elecricity industry privatization at ead of March 1990. It is a competitive generation market in which the Settlement Process is day-ahead based. The Pool buys electricity from generators at the same Prie, the Pool Purchase Price (PPP), during each Settlment Period (hal f- hour ). The PPP consists of two parts: eaergy poyment and capacity payment. Whether or not the UK system can be exported is a complex question which can only be judtw on a case-by-case basis.
