There exist some problems in the process of carrying out the credit system during the popularization stage of higher education. It is imperative to change some traditional concepts on educational space - time, talents and courses, perfect the system for elective courses, establish rational credit -system courses and teaching system, and strengthen the relevant systematic construction to ensure a good environment for the implementation of the credit system.
